Relief. Recovery. Rural Strength.

SUPPORTING FARMERS IMPACTED BY FLOODS, BUSHFIRES AND DROUGHTS

ABOUT US
Rural Connect Ag (RCA) is an initiative dedicated to supporting disaster-impacted primary producers and rural landholders across Australia.
In times of floods, bushfires, or droughts, RCA provides effective and efficient, needs-based support; delivering quality, feed-tested fodder in the early response and recovery stages, while connecting farmers with vital recovery services and support.
By connecting farmers in the early stages and providing clear pathways to other organisations, RCA helps ensure that farmers are supported from the very beginning of their recovery journey. Once broader recovery services are established, we then direct farmers to the central single point of referral, which continues to support them throughout the broader recovery journey.
At the heart of RCA is a strong commitment to farmer-first solutions, supporting farmers when it matters most, and helping rural communities recover, rebuild, and strengthen their long-term resilience.
“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success"
Henry Ford

SUPPORTING OUR FARMERS STRENGTHENING OUR FUTURE

OUR IMPACT IN ACTION
Since our beginnings during the 2022 Northern Rivers floods, Rural Connect Ag (RCA) has grown from a grassroots volunteer effort into a trusted connector for disaster-impacted farmers.
-
2022: At grassroots, our early response team delivered and instigated over 100 hay runs when farmers needed urgent support. As recovery progressed, we went on to coordinate more than 1,200 hay runs in partnership with multiple charity hay runners, supporting 1,500+ primary producers and rural landholders.
-
2025: Already facilitated 140+ early response fodder deliveries, with 200 more hay runs currently underway to support farmers still recovering from the Northern Rivers and MidCoast floods.
-
Ongoing: Through our Hay Runner Program and Recovery Connect Events, RCA continues to refine our early response model, ensuring farmers receive feed-tested, quality fodder and direct connections to recovery services when they need it most.
